In the heart of family ties and creativity, the story of Three Peas in a Pod unfolds. Libby, Mickey, and Frankie, born into a family of 11 children, formed the middle “pod” of three sisters. Libby’s passion for handmade greeting cards began over 25 years ago, intertwined with her work at the Department of Aging and later shared with loved ones through Hospice.

Mickey, with more than 35 years of crafting experience, specialized in seasonal wreaths, jewelry, Christmas decorations, and home decor. Her move to Manistee seven years ago sparked a new fascination with sea glass and Petoskey Stones, influencing her unique artistic creations.

Frankie, devoted to paper crafts for over two decades, crafted greeting cards, journals, and small home decor items. Recently, she delved into furniture refurbishing. Together, this trio envisioned sharing their handiwork with the world through their store, Three Peas in a Pod.

Their original location at the back of Wahr Hardware marked the beginning, evolving to the side building on the hardware property. In 2023, their oldest sister acquired the building at 303 1st street, providing a much-needed home after a substantial renovation. As the narrative continued, an exciting opportunity emerged in November of 2023 - the old Nu2u space at 353 River. This new location, now a 7,000 sq ft space with three rooms, became the canvas for the collaborative efforts of the expanded team of five, including the addition of Jacob and sister Sue.
